10th December 2013 - The EUBIROD Network invited to the EU EGHI Meeting in Brussels

The EUBIROD Network has been invited to participate to the Meeting of Subject clusters under the EGHI Ad Hoc Core Working Group on the potential ERIC on health information to be held in Luxembourg on 10 December 2013.

3-6th December 2013 - EUBIROD in Melbourne, Australia: Oral Presentation and Poster at the IDF World Diabetes Congress.

The EUBIROD Network will participate to the IDF World Diabetes Congress with an oral presentation and a poster.

On the 4th December, Prof.Massimo Massi Benedetti will present: "Pooled analysis of quality of care indicators from diabetes registers of 19 European countries: results of the EUBIROD project" (#OP-0266) in the session "Diabetes Management", Room 219/220, 10:45-12:45.

A poster in the stream "Public Health and Epidemiology": "A validated platform for global diabetes monitoring: design and use of the BIRO system across 19 European countries" (P-1908) will be displayed in the Poster Area, Melbourne Exhibition Centre, bays 8 to 10, from 10:00, 3rd December to 14:00, 6th December 2013.
The poster will be attended by Prof.Massi Benedetti during the lunch hours, 12:45-14:30, Tuesday 3 to Friday 6 December 2013.

3-4th December 2013 - Participation to the Joint Action "PAtient REgistries iNiTiative" (PARENT)

The EUBIROD Network has been invited to participate to the PARENT workshop on December 3 and 4, presenting the Pilot of Registry of registries (RoR) and discussing the methodological part and the structure of the toolkit.

7th November 2013 - HIRS participates to the EU EGHI Meeting in Brussels

On the 7th November the HIRS was invited by the European Commission to participate on behalf of the EUBIROD Network to a EU Meeting of the Expert Group on Health Information, organized in preparation of a European Research Infrastructure Centre on Health Information (HI-ERIC).
The Hub delivered a report on the potential synergies with other co-funded EU projects of the SANCO Health Information Strand, which was thoroughly discussed with a group of representatives of Member States. Results of the meeting will contribute to the preparation of an initial draft that will incorporate particular aspects of interest for the BIRO and EUBIROD projects.

17th October 2013 - EUBIROD at the 2013 WHO Europe Tallinn Meeting

On the 17th October the EUBIROD Network was invited by WHO Europe to participate to the 5-years follow-up meeting on the 2008 Tallinn Charter entitled "Health systems for health and wealth in the context of Health 2020".
The 2013 meeting in Tallinn was intended to take stock of Member States’ efforts to strengthen their health systems in response to the 2008 Tallinn Charter, and share innovative initiatives that have helped to transform health systems in the WHO European Region. In addition, the meeting served as a platform for identifying new directions for strengthening health systems in coming years.
F.Carinci was invited to participate in the Discussion Panel of Parallel Session D, "Using eHealth to improve health systems performance". EUBIROD was introduced by the Session Chair as the "most advanced solution for international information exchange in diabetes". The session, which included Dr Taavi Rõivas, Minister of Social Affairs, Estonia as a keynote speaker, was broadcasted in webstream by WHO Europe.
